WATERY WEDNESDAY
DAZZLE!
When we gaze at a sparkling sea
In the light of brilliant reality,
Sometimes pure dazzle prevents the eyes
From feasting on the wondrous prize.
Only when we capture the same,
Place it in a sort of frame,
Can we appreciate the flash,
The joyous sparkle, twinkling splash,
That made the scene so awe-inspiring
So worthy of our stunned admiring.
A little New Zealand island here.
Photography has made it clear.
Another aspect of New Zealand and water here:
Something to dream about....with a bunch of desert island discs!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous photo of a silvery sea and a small mysterious isle.
ReplyDeleteThe last line, "From sea to shining sea", becomes more meaningful when you view this scene. (From 'America The Beautiful') .
What a lovely looking place to be! The sparkling water is very inviting.
ReplyDeleteWhat dazzles the eyes....
ReplyDeletecan be seen in a photo
can be painted in canvas
can be captured in a poem..!!!
I can see the shimmer from here.
ReplyDeleteA Good New Year to you, B.
You have captured great depth here, Brenda with a significant foreground AND a significant backgroun.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, health and happiness to you as we travel into 2010.
Dazzle, especially contrasted with the brooding sky. Your words match the photo well.
ReplyDeleteIndeed...Dazzle, Razzle Dazzle!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
