Evening

EVENING
A sky as reflective as water;
White of itself but flushed
With the angry sunset it's facing.
It's a feminine sky. It has blushed.
Suffused with the colours of evening,
It borrows a rosier hue,
But soon it will fade into blandness.
Its moments of glory are few.

  4. Lovely sky! I like the feminine touch - the rime does enhance in ways that would not have occurred to me.

  5. Loved the lines "...It's a feminine sky. It has blushed"

p.s. these days this art-of-blushing is fast fading :)))

  6. Love the idea of a feminine evening sky because it blushes! Does that mean dawn is a male sky? (Maybe I shouldn't go there!)

  7. Nice words and a very colorful evening as is your poem.

I was expecting humor, your usual style, and thought this didn't have but you have done it again....it made me smile to see the feminine sky blushing...

"With the angry sunset it's facing.
It's a feminine sky. It has blushed."

Geez. I can't even think how to say this.

I loved this. It is the emotion I feel when I see sunset. I just never knew how to say it.

Please send this into a poetry contest or for inclusion in an anthology.

    This was beyond excellent.

    Still. Almost. Speechless.

    Wow.
